Just returned from 2 weeks at the Magic Tulip. We booked with Monarch and thought that we were staying at the Magic Tulip Beach Hotel so were surprised when we got dropped off here. Only one of our rooms was ready and my friends had to stay the night in a pokey twin room in the basement. We were told their double room would be ready the next day after lunch - which was fine until it came to the next day and we were told it would be the day after! We insisted that it had to be the same day and were told to come back after 3. The room my friends were given was actually vacated that morning at 8 am! We found most of the staff to be miserable and unhelpful, there were a couple of people who were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help but the others mmmm. The breakfast was nice though with plenty of choice. The cleaning left a lot to be desired as the balcony didn't look like it had been cleaned all season and the floors were constantly dusty and didn't see a mop all fortnight, the shower wasnt cleaned at all and there were ants everywhere!! The extras were a bit expensive and cannot believe that it was £28 for a fridge for the 2 weeks!!! The air-con at £70 was a bit over the top but essential...More
