We were recommended to stay at the Vrede Manor when we recently stayed in Cape Town and we were NOT dissappointed.
We stayed in the apartment attached the to main house, which was lovely as it had it's own sitting area and kitchen to cook in (not that we ever did). All the facilities were immaculate and very comfortable. Just note if you find stairs difficult then stay in the main house as the apartment has quite a tight spiral staircase.
We flew in from the UK and Colin and Mark arranged for us to be collected from the airport - nothing was too much trouble throughout our 4 day stay.
We did not have a car and although Vrede Manor is slightly outside the central part of Cape Town there is a bus stop 3 minutes walk away. The bus service was exceptional and ran every 20 minutes to the Waterside (takes about half an hour).
If you are going to Cape Town we highly recommnend staying at the Vrede Manor.More
