We stayed in the king room and it was sensational, with unbelievable views of Table Mountain and Long Street. Right in the thick of the action of Long Street. We could hear the noise at night, but didn't give us any issues with sleeping and thats what you expect staying right in the middle of Long Street. And the staff were friedlier than anywhere Ive been before and breakfast was great too! Great hotel all round!!!

perfect hotel for you in capetown, modern clean big and well equiment rooms with wonderful view on the table mountains, friendly competent and professionell acting crew. the laundry is the best in the world (i gave a expensive designer suit and it was handeld like i have never seen before, you do not have to expalin what to do, they know all, just put the stuff in the bag), very well situated for night life, you do not waste your money for taxis, the best restaurant in town are in walking distance, some shows too, but you can sleep well even if you go to sleep early. I was victim of a thief and becasue the connections of hotel security agency andrew i got back all my stuff with ipod in some days without stress. The price is more than fair for what you get back, i stay in capetown regularly for business and alwasy stay there, all locals know why and understand and see you as smart, if you contact the hotel directly you got same price than on hotel websites, they are not one of these hotels charging you more than by travel agency. i feel as real friend when i stay there 4 times a yera for 10 days., check it out, Dr. Bernhart, Switzerland

Bar, Restaurant and Disco are too noisy, and even with windows closed, you have participate to the "fiesta"

We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for a stay that was evidently below your expectations. It is evident that yourself and your family were less than happy with your stay at the Urban Chic Boutique Hotel.

We would like to address the noise factor by saying that we pride ourselves on our location being in the most vibey and party orientated street in Cape Town, but also due to the fact that being where we are means that our guests have everything they might need right on their doorstep.

We are in walking distance from countless restaurants, bars and clubs and while 90% of our guests enjoy the vibe of Long street, there are those who are light sleepers and the opposite would be true for them.

Had you stayed with us for more than one night, and had you brought the problem to our attention, we would have moved you to a higher floor so that you would not have been hindered by the noise as much.

Once again, we apologise for your bad experience.

Warm regards,

Siranne Ungerer

I recently returned from South Africa after an incredible honeymoon,my spouse and I had the privilege of staying at the Urban Chic Hotel in Cape Town ,recommended by our travel agent. We loved the room the hotel had prepared for us,it had a view of Table Mountain. As a bonus the hotel offered us a bottle of sparkling wine a fruit platter, which was quite a nice gesture. The staff was wonderful and planned all our tours and recommended great restaurants within walking distance. Longstreet is quite busy at night ,so it does get a bit loud over the weekend but we hardly felt it cause we slept like logs, after a long day of sightseeing.

Stayed in this hotel at the end of a short trip to Cape Town for a friends wedding. If you want a hotel that's close to bars and restaurants with easy access to Cape Town's tourist attractions then I couldn't recommend this hotel more. Opening the curtains to a view of Table Mountain wasn't bad either. Highly recommended. A word of note mind you, the walk in rate for this place was cheaper than Laterooms so it might be worth booking direct through the hotel.
