Enjoyable time in Cape Town. The hotel is beautifully appointed and rooms are magnificent. Ideal location for Sevens and V&A shopping!

Annoying on check-out to receive a “voluntary” R10 donation on the tab towards “an African charity”. Moral blackmailing and simply not on!!

This super hotel lies right in the waterfront area. Make sure you get a mountain view room. The rooms are luxurious and spacious. Breakfast is a real treat, also with a view of the mountain. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. A wonderful place for a short stay.

Fantastic location, great breakfast. Lovely staff, large, clean rooms.

This hotel is located where you want to be, in the middle of the buzzing waterfront but silent in your room.

At breakfast ask to sit outside which will give you a view of the harbour, we saw playful Seals every morning.

One negative with a mention is the shower was not thermostatic, hot-cool-warm-hot-cold-warm this was quite annoying as showers should be kept to a minimum due to the water shortages currently (November 2017)

This small issue would not stop us staying at this hotel again.

I’d highly recommend you take the Hop-on-Hop-off bus tour whist in Cape Town. The terminal/booking office is a 2 minute walk from the V&A Hotel, There are 4 routes that go to all the best tourist destinations including Wineries, Table Mountain, Camps bay, Hout Bay and many more (R200 1 day, R300 two days)

Wonderfully located with “everything” right on your doorstep. The room was fantastic with an amazing view towards Table Mountain. The breakfast was superb. The only minus was the shower which switched between scalding hot to ice old every other minute... not what you expect from an otherwise great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. But they did seem a bit confused about who was staying where as we were told we had changed rooms, which we hadn’t, and had somebody else’s pizza left in our room - a minor detail. Would happily stay here again despite the shower being temperamental.

The location is very good at the centre of the Waterside in Cape Town.

Hotel staff were always attentive and helpful.

Our room was on the third floor – loft room – so there was no view and the room basic. The hotel is starting to look a bit tired, but you could not fault the location.

Thanks kindly for sharing your experience. Over the last 3 years we have successfully upgrade the ground, 1st and 2nd floors and included a now very successful artisanal restaurant, GINJA. The Loft rooms on our 3rd floor will receive an upgrade in mid 2018 so you will be delighted to return after this to enjoy the new views.
Best wishes
