What an absolute gem of a hotel!
Location is great, close the promenade so you can enjoy a stroll along or even a run if you are feeling energetic!
We paid extra for a room with a balcony & it had everything we would ask for, huge bed, Apple TV, mac in the room, large shower room. Decorated immaculately.

Breakfast was fantastic, they offer 3 cooked options all made with fantastic quality, fresh croissant & muffins that would be at home in any deli & fresh OJ.
We ate at the hotel in the first evening & the steak tartare was delicious.

All in all a fantastic hotel & I would stay here again when in CT at the drop of a hat!

My husband and I booked this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed! The staff was very welcoming and eager to make our stay delightful. Pros of this hotel are the staff, the wonderful breakfast (meats, cheeses, eggs to order and wonderful coffee), free parking nearby and classy room furnishings. The cons are minimal, but it seems like there is a pool on the premises for guests to use, but I think its only for certain rooms because we did not have access to it even though we were guests of the hotel for a few nights.

Ultimately, would stay here again!

We are regulars for breakfast at the Cascades and recently decided to try dinner. Cascades has a lovely open and friendly atmosphere. We had a great relaxing meal with great food and wine. We are now regulars for dinner.

Although we were early arriving atvthe hotel from Queen Mary 2 we werd made welcome by the owner and offered tea andvcoffee whilst the room was being prepared for us the lads took our suit cases to the room and showed us how to operate everything such as the free computer coffee maker outside security shutter (electric ) apple for the tv and of course the free room safe , the room was quite large and clean with king size bed and plenty of lighting in the room plus aircon , the shower room and toilet are very adequate and clean the room was a corner one so we had a very good balcony L shaped with table ,chairs and sunbed room number 4 and the hotel does have a lift , food is a limited menu but good quality and fairly priced , the hotel is very close to the sea front and hop on off tour bus stop , a taxi from the waterfront shops is R75/85 but get a price first and make sure you say Cascades on Arthur street as there are other hotels further away with the same Cascades name , would we stay again yes we would , thanks to the owners and staff .

Room Tip: 4 was a good corner with no road noise at all room but all are spacious

Cascades was our base during a week in Cape Town, and it was a very pleasant experience. Very nice room with a small terrace, very nice staff and an ideal location close to the beautiful beach promenade and less than a 10 minutes drive from down town Cape Town. The helpfulness of the manager topped it all. No doubt we will be back at the Cascades, the next time we are in Cape Town.
