My husband and I stayed at this hotel in late January for 10 nights. Seapoint is approx 7mins drive or (if you're keen) a 45min walk to the V&A Waterfront (near CBD). It has a large number of great restaurants and bars within walking distance from the hotel and is just a short 10min drive to Camps Bay (divine!) This was our first time to Capetown and Seapoint is an ideal location - pool and small beach area just 4min walk from the hotel.
The hotel is tucked away in a one way street (approx 50 metres from the main street through Seapoint). It has a contemporary feel from the moment you step inside the foyer and the room was large & tastefully decorated. Our room was located at the front of the building on the 2nd floor (near the lift) which initially bothered me though it didn't cause any noise disruptions. As there's only 3 floors, most people seem to walk up/down the stairs. We didn't have a view though we had two large windows which created a more open feel to the room. The kitchenette is quite small though adequate and we cooked a few meals in. Apparently its expected that the cleaner will wash your dishes as detergent is not provided. We asked for the contents to be removed from the mini fridge so we could store some food (purchased from nearby supermarkets) and this was done without hesitation.
The bathroom was spacious and the bedroom was massive especially the X-large king bed - seriously good! TV is only located in the bedroom. The rooms do not have a laundry however the hotel offers a same day laundry/dry cleaning service (very cheap).
The hotel provided a complimentary lap-top/wifi, GPS and free carparking - fabulous! Natasha & Desi are lovely and were more than helpful suggesting/booking tourist activities. As we had an extended stay, a lovely complimentary dinner was organised at a fabulous French restaurant not far from the hotel.
They also provide complimentary water and we received yummy welcome chocolates on arrival. Off from the foyer, they also have a kitchen/dining area where guests can have a complimentary coffee/water/soft drink and an honour system for alcohol taken from the fridge. There's also a small outdoor area where you can sit & relax.
If you're concerned about security, don't be. The hotel has a night guard and we felt extremely safe.
Overall we were extremely happy with our stay and it was sad to say goodbye to this lovely city we fell in love with. PS: Make sure you visit New York Bagel, a Jewish deli/cafe right near the hotel - great for breakfasts/lunch and it has an amazing selection of food that you can take back to your room. Yum!
