Good Food, Reasonably priced. Nice all week specials cannot wait for the winter curry special again. Now the way they serve that curry in a mini potjie is very presentable. Waiters are awesome but many disgruntled people surrounding you. Obviously from losing at the Casino. Otherwise very good. Also Witnessed a fight for the first time. In Grandwest Casino...I hope that man is banned...

We were going to a show at 20:00 and arrived at the restaurant at about 18:30.

Upon arriving at our table the waitress, with a smile told us that she recommended ordering quickly because she didn’t want us to miss the show.

She was extremely tentative throughout our dining experience and even though we had to wait a while for our meal because the restaurant was really busy.

The food was of superb quality and the service we received from the lovely Mavis was just as good. We were not the only table happy as there didn’t seem to be a single complaint or unhappy face from the other customers.

Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Yesterday, 15th December 2017, we had our year end function at this venue and what a total let down.
The service is atrocious and although the food , when we eventually got it after three and a half hours, was good, the so-called waiters did not even know who had ordered what. The resulting calling out of whatever dish appeared from the kitchen was rather hilarious and quite pathetic considering the venue. All but professional.
Some of our group of around thirty guests had arrived an hour and a half after the first batch but their food was delivered first.

It seems as though the orders were taken, all the pieces of paper stacked on top of each other and worked on from the top down.
It was like getting to the airport early and then receiving your baggage last at your destination.

The arrangement was that non-alcoholic beverages would be covered by the company but I was nevertheless presented with a bill.
Fortunately this issue was resolved.

Whoever the manager is, only appeared very briefly and was noticeably indifferent to the client’s needs or requests.

This place deserves no recommendation and should be given a miss. Alternatively order a few starters and make that your main meal.

This restaurant is at the Grand West Casino, and they obviously just couldn't care less because every table was occupied. There was a special advertised on the table - lamb shank with mash - and two of us ordered this. There was another order for crayfish, one for the beetroot/butternut salad, and one for sirloin. We received our drinks and then, at least 20 minutes later, our waitress came to tell us that the kitchen had run out of lamb shanks. By this time is was too late to cancel the other orders and leave.

The salad was mediocre - tasteless chunks of beetroot and butternut on lettuce without any kind of special dressing. The crayfish were expensive and overcooked; the sirloin was tough and, again, overcooked. When the 'manager' came to ask how our meal had been, I asked why the wait staff hadn't been informed, UP FRONT, that the kitchen had run out of the special. He didn't have an answer -

Basically, we'll never go back.
