Just had a great three nights at the chill Pod Camps Bay. I had orginally booked the Marly Camps Bay down the road (newer, larger and cheaper rooms) but cancelled when I realized their pool deck was under renovation. No regrets staying here instead. I love boutique hotels and the Pod hit all the right spots. It started with the warm welcome from the friendly staff that came to meet me in the garage & helped park the car in a slightly tight space.
The classic double with balcony (room 105) was small, cool & cute, heated floors, minimal yet with all the amenities provided (even sunblock, tweezers etc !), the complimentary minibar had a nespresso machine/kettle tea etc & even honey. I loved being able to zip down the spectacular coastline to the fabulous restaurants in the area (especially the drive towards Hout Bay). The beach was just a block away and the views from the hotel reception/pool area was nice. The front desk staff exuded a happy vibe that made me smile everytime I saw them. My only slight gripe is that wifi was a bit slow and my balcony faced an ugly building. More
