It is no longer open...ruff crowd catering for the lunch time bar flies and then some. Food concept was good which could have been great if managed correctly

The restaurant is set out in the open under a huge tarpaulin with bench type tables. They have huge fans to keep everyone cool. The food is very reasonably priced indeed. I had a rump which was perfectly cooked with one of the best pepper sauces I've ever tasted. The chips were also cooked perfectly. The service was outstanding

What a inviting, colorful and friendly place that also serves excellent food. On two occasions I filled up with well nade, tasty, ample portions of good quality meat and sides. The rump and pork chops very good and the homemade piri piri sauce was the best I ever tasted. The mushroom and cheese appetizer was laden with cheese and good flavored and accommodated my request for minced garlic addition. I was fortunate in meeting and enjoying the company of Jenny, manager and all around good person who will put a smile on your face. The atmosphere is bush like, open and breezy. A no frills place but full of warmth and character. On both occasions I had wonderful wait staff, quick and attentive. Many local and South African dishes to choose from. Good food, cold beer, good people, great service!

The Tasaky Pub & Grill rose from the ashes of a venue popular but seemingly not profitable.
It is a very rustic pub half under a big canvas and half in the open; with an open air kitchen and a bar room for those who want to fester indoors.
The tables and bench seats are rough and ready and the floors basic and general decor (decor?) is basic but the food is better than one would have expected from the facilities and the service (and greeting) friendly and efficient.
All this comes together to create a good atmosphere and, in the right company, it would feel like a party in the bush.
We would recommend Tasaky to both locals for VFM and to tourists who want to experience local colour and to get away from feeling processed by yet another of the franchised restaurants; visit tasaky and the one thing you wont feel is that you have been 'processed; rather, I am sure it will be 'an experience'.
PS The Tipsy Pie with Ice Cream is one of the tastiest sweats I have had locally and is really recommended as is the stuffed chicken breast.
