From the moment we arrived we were welcomed like a member of the family by Heather, our room was lovely, clean, spacious and had such an authentic SA feeling; toiletries more than sufficient and the hospitality tray just what you needed for an early morning hot drink before breakfast served from 07:00. Even pool towels are provided albeit we didn’t feel the need for a swim in the lovely pool on this occasion.
The honour bar was perfect, after 36 hours of travel we freshened up, chilled with a glass of wine in the luscious gardens listening to the wildlife before our gorgeous 3-course meal which was prepared and served by the most friendliest staff I have ever met, they just made us feel so comfortable.
Breakfast had a wide range of different tastes for starters and then a cooked meal of our choice was provided, again 10 out of 10.
We took a walk down to the Sabie River and had a look at the purpose built braai area which looked fantastic and would be great for a party visiting. The views are stunning, the outside wildlife amazing and the lemon trees beautiful with lots of workers full of smiles, waves and generally we felt very welcome.
