We're younger and enjoy meeting people our age, so this wasn't the place for us. But we enjoyed it. It's well kept. But we did feel our rv was a bit unstable on the gravel and hence rocked a lot in the wind or when people walked around. Perhaps some larger pads under the jack would have helped, but just noting this for others. Our biggest issue was noise. There was always something to wake you up earlier than you wanted...

Stayed a few days at the Islander RV Resort. Staff helpful and pleasant. Great weather for March, high 80s.. Out site was #31, part of a group of 4. Overlooked the Lake and surrounding area. Great view for sure, but you pay for it. We choose where we want to be, a great view is worth the rate charged. This area also gives you a little more room, side by side isnt a problem. with slides and awnings out there has to be at least another 20 feet in between. Great water pressure, dumpster at entrance to park.

Room Tip: RV Resort, no rooms just your Motorcoach or 5fiver or TT.

We enjoyed the resort very much. The residents of the park were happy and very friendly. The facilities are complete and in good repair.
The area nearby was very pretty and active. The bike rides and walks are abundant. Boats everywhere. A ferry across the lake to California casino. Boats tours up to the canyon are available.
There is plenty of shopping and facilities in the city.

Stopped here for a 12 night visit on our way from Death Valley to Tucson-wanted to explore the area. We had a pull through-easy to get in and out of a clean spot with a concrete patio area in our fifth wheel. Lots of snowbirds, our neighbors were friendly and helpful, letting us know about different activities in the park and around the area. There is a nice bike path (about three miles total) across from park-bikers go one way, walkers go opposite direction. You can actually get to the London Bridge area without too much trouble from this same path.
There is no cable offered in the park for short timers, but we were able to pick up several channels with just our antenna. Wifi is offered 24 hours around the office, laundry, library area and 1 hour per day, per device at your site. At first I wasn't happy about that, but then I realized it was actually kind of great to limit myself to one hour, and not be able to wander mindlessly for hours on the Internet!
There are some sites right on the lake edge, but most were taken, and of course priced even more than we were paying. But, this led to a great walk around the park each morning and we were able to view some great sunsets as well.
Laundry room was clean and easily accessible.
The site was a little pricey since there is not a weekly rate, but this park appears to be one of the nicest in the area.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your recent stay at the Islander Resort. We are pleased that your stay was a nice one, even without much Wifi use.....There is a lot to do right here in the Resort and on the Island itself. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
