This was part of an organised tour so no choice made on our part. Anyway we were quite satisfied with getting to see all the big five in our first day. Much more on top of that. As you don't drive off-road in Kruger it is harder to get close to the game but we managed well in spite of this with lots of zebra, elephants, rhinos and antelopes at close range. Lions was harder, we only saw these far off. We saw no less than three leopards in two days, with two crossing the road in front of the vehicle in front of us.
The jeeps are somewhat cramped and you really feel the need to stretch after a day. It can get hot at the side seats depending on where the sun is.

I booked an airport collection via our hotel, from Nelspruit to Protea Lodge, Kruger Gate and they didn't show up. A couple of calls to the hotel resulted in one of this company's managers interrupting her Sat to collect us herself. We later learned they were a no show too for an Austrian couple.
We booked a morning safari with the hotel who used Echo. The hotel confirmed our booking. On the morning the guide didn't have us on his list! Only after I had reception tell him we were booked did he agree to take us. Hotel later said that Echo had clearly not read their emails.
Safari good- vehicle very good, driver's knowledge a bit patchy. No introduction or background of the Park.
Would consider an alternative next time.

Over a week we did 5 trips with Echo Africa.
Started with an early morning bush walk where we saw lots of buffalo.
Then we did four drives through the Park got to see all big 5 and lots more. Had a really nice "bush dinner" at Christmas Eve. The last day we took the "Panoramic tour" which took us to see the Lisbon Waterfall and God's window among other sights - fantastic views.
The guide that drove us most of the week was John, very good, knowledgeable and good fun.
