Don't miss the extraordinary views from 'Confluence' over the Limpopo river.

Think of booking in advance an 'sunrise' walk with a park ranger. You will get very interesting information on the history of the park and the region and if you are lucky see the ollies and other wildlife

“A well-kept secret”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2011

We spent 2 delightful days in this lovely National Park. We stayed in Leokwe Camp, which was one of the nicest SANParks facilities we have stayed at over the years. It is not for those just wanting to see the Big 5. However, the landscape is fascinating, lying on the border between SA, Botswana and Zimbabwe. The lookout decks at the confluence of the 2 rivers are spectacularly situated. Just 2 or 3 kms upstream is a boardwalk among the treetops, taking you to a hide situated right over the river. The bird-watching at this site was particularly rewarding. A guided tour to Mapungubwe Hill and the archaelogical excavations should also not be missed.
