We only stayed here one night and it was a fleeting visit so don't have a lot more detail but the location is wonderful and the rooms are all set out very attractively with nice decor. The waiting staff were really friendly and the breakfast was good.

The reception was warm and welcoming, the apartment "Tree Top" was very nicely decorated African style. The bed was warm enough, thanks to the electric blankets. The bathroom has a large bathtub and and the shower is outside. On our trip with seven different accomodations (so far), this was the best shower! The pressure and temperature were so good that showering was possible despite the cool weather. Breakfast is good, only the cappucino from the machine was nuke warm immediately after being prepared, so we opted for tea.

There are several excellent restaurants in Wilderness and it is close to many activities.

If you are afraid of spiders, please note that this is a National Park area and we had a new spider in the room every day.

We really enjoyed our all too short stay at Moontide. It had a fantastic view, overlooking the lake and we had a beautiful room. Our little lodge had a thatched roof and a real rustic, African feel. The lodge also had a balcony and outdoor shower. Unfortunately the weather prevented us from enjoying these facilities!

The owners greeted us upon arrival and also booked a restaurant for us. We were quickly introduced to the friendly and docile two dogs and cat!

Breakfast was lovely, after which we went on an enjoyable walk to the waterfall, upon a helpful recommendation from the owners.

We would love to come back and enjoy this great guest house in the summer!

We had a lovely time. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and the view of the river was magical. We stayed in the Milkwood room. It was fully equipped and decorated with African Art. The location was perfect, beautiful and close to shops, resturants and hiking trails. The owner brings his dogs around over the weekend, being dog lovers ourselves we enjoyed the company.

Would go back there again!

The Moontide Guest House resides two minutes of drive from the N2. It’s quiet, lovely and sits on the lagoon. We took a boat trip directly from there to the reserve which was really calming and nice. Breakfast was good and intimate.
