Had a room overlooking a petroleum station with no balcony. We hadn't booked a sea view, but be aware if you don't you will not get any view. The room was basic compared to some we had on our trip to South Africa. The pool area had an amazing view but not that many sunbeds. The pool bar wasn't open but they did come round periodically to take orders.
Food was amazing and view from the restaurant was lovely. Local town is about a 5 minute taxi away and had a couple more restaurants.

Room Tip: Don't take 2a I think it is the only one without a balcony. If you can't get a sea view don't book!

Very welcoming staff. Large bright room with great side views of beach. Good air conditioning in room. Restaurant has superb views of beach, good service and good food. Decent sized gym and small pool.

Your 5/5 rating is highly appreciated. Sorry we don't know your name as we would have addressed our response back personalised.

We are delighted that you had a fabulous "2 Day Stay" and that you had a great all-around experience.

We hope that if you have the chance to visit the Garden Route again, that you will choose to stay with us.

We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back.

Kind Regards

There are 5-Stars for this Hotel,
However
The Staff keep only 3 shining,
The 4th star they start and then lose interest, and the
5th star they just forget.
The staff clearly are careless of their customers desires and needs.
They ignore you for too long
They take too long to clear-up
They forget part of the order, like some of the cutlery on the table, or all the towels in the bathroom, or milk with the coffee, or the mixer with your vodka.
They are noisy at inappropriate time of the night, and early morning.
The Hotel is Lovely.
Great Views,
Lovely Rooms, all over the hotel not just bedrooms.
Lovely Restaurant with Good Food.
Great location to visit various parts of The Garden Route.
5-Star Hotel, 3-Star Service.

Dear andymcmobile

Thank you for your value feedback, while there were positive aspects of your stay, we are concerned to hear about the poor service you experienced and our staff behaviour.

Your constructive feedback will help us to address the issues raised.

We hope that should you have the opportunity to visit South Africa and the Garden Route, that you will choose to stay with us so that we may redeem ourselves.

The view from the suite over the beach and out to sea is fantastic. However the room is a little tired with a strange bathroom area made from concrete. The shutters fail to keep the early morning sun out and the gap to the sea front window means it's not very peaceful. So overall the room is a little disappointing.
Breakfast is average, the fruit in particular tastes like it's been cut on vegetable boards.
The pool deck is very small with insufficient bed chairs for the size of the hotel.
We wouldn't return at the price.

Dear Sheffview

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback about your recent stay.

While the suite and views were positive aspects, we are concerned about the points mentioned about our rooms and your breakfast experience. We will be addressing the issues raised to ensure that this does not happen again.

The upper pool deck area is currently being addressed.

Should you have the opportunity to visit South Africa and the Garden Route, we do hope that you do choose to stay with us so that we can restore your confidence with us.

This is marketed as a 5 star boutique hotel but falls short. The views of the ocean are great, other rooms apart from 4A which has been sandwiched in,are large
The staff cleaning the rooms are thorough, the staff for breakfast are very good and smile, but the dinner staff need proper training. They are willing but just lack the proper skills and that lets the hotel down.
The pillows we requested three times never arrived, the fridge in our room needs something to stop it making noise every 15 minutes.
There is a plunge pool on the roof and there is a small number of sun loungers but you need to ring for service or help as there is nobody up there. The towels are in need of replacing if this is meant to be 5 star. However the view of the ocean is beautiful as it is from the rooms

Room Tip: Don't take 4A,it's the smallest!
