The room was clean, comfortable and had plenty of room. Lots of nearby eating, gas and shopping. The only issue was not enough staff. The girl in the office was all alone and had numerous issues to deal with all by herself. I had a slight cleanup issue (in the mini-fridge) and she had to come to my room and take care of it.
It has been over a week and I still remember this as the worst motel of the first dozen motels of this trip. The room was dirty, had poor (leaky faucets, bad shower head, slow drains) plumbing, and so on. Other nearby motels still had their outdoor pools open but this place did NOT. Refrigerator freezer compartment was enclosed in over an inch of frost/ice. I had to chip away at to get anything in it.
The staff (a young woman of 25) was unfriendly and unhelpful. When I found out that there was no laundry (even thought the website said there was), I asked about nearby laundromats. She (the 25 year old) told me she knew of none. After going 5 miles round trip to the next exit to do my laundry, I found a laundromat a block away from this motel. Why didn't this staffer know about a laundromat a block away? My guess is that she did know and LIED.
We stayed one night at this less than adequate motel. The room was outdated with stained old carpet; the freezer (in the old refrigerator) was In bad need of defrosting; the room was dusty; mirror was dirty; no soap furnished. On the positive side: receptionist was friendly and check was a breeze. The location was convenient to the highway. The price was reasonable. Stay there was a step above camping. I would not stay there again.
Check in was quick and painless. The room was nice and clean and had everything I needed to make my stay enjoyable.
