The reputation of this hotel is overdone. The personnel has a steady incoming of embassy staff from the area and take the clientele for granted. The benefits of staying there are exceeded by inconveniences.

+ Walking distance from the embassies;
+ Free shuttle service during the day;
+ Nice and tidy lobby bar;
+ Complete morning brunch.

Rooms: Unclean. Stained and burnt carpets. Some of the showers have mold in it. Make sure you visit your room before settling in one;
Internet: Slow and unaccessible in the room when there is rain;
Netflix: unaccessible due to the hotel network configuration;
Electricity: no electricity for hours.
Kitchenette: Inconvenient (i.e. we had to use the bread knife because there was no chef knife);
Daily replenishment of complimentary coffee and tea: Not made. Had to be demanded;
Staff: Arrogant to the brink of disrespect.
Swimming pool: not regularly maintained. There were alot of flies and it had to be closed down during the day for a chlore treatment;
Gym: Untidy with outdated equipment.

There is not point at all in staying at this hotel for other purpose then working at the UK, Australian or US embassies which are next door. Staying longer then two nights is definitely not recommended.

Recently renovated lobby, it gives the impression that this is a 4 star hotel, but when you have a closer look, it ressembles more a 3 star hotel.

Stayed here on business for almost 2 months and during that time period the following happened:
- no water one evening
- no wi-fi and TV for 4 days (except in the lobby) - makes for very long evenings
- no electricity for a whole day with issues the following day as well

Plus sides:
- Staff is very nice. They will try to help when they can, especially the front counter staff. If you do have a problem or need help with sorting out your travels, you should seek assistance from Claudine who has been most useful.
- Breakfast has all you need
- You can walk to the grocery store
- They have a free shuttle service until 2PM (except weekends), which makes it convenient as there is not much around the hotel except embassies

Suggestions for improvement:
- At the time I was here, there was more staff than guests. The hotel seems to be under Auction (as per sign). To obtain financial gains, the owners should probably review whether all this staff walking around is actually needed.
- The website indicates there's a gym, but it is not functional. For safety purposes, it should really be closed down as it is actually dangerous (old machine, power plugs don't work, very little air in the room).
- The swimming pool and its seating area deserves attention, even when there's no kids around. Upon arrival of new young guests, they started cleaning the pool. There's two long chairs, which are starting to worn out
- The rooms are old and not all that clean. Carpets have a lot of stains on them, bathroom shower has mold (visited two rooms before choosing), sofa are drastically warned out that you can feel the springs and the kitchens have the very bare minimum to cook.

In brief, I would recommend staying in a different hotel. With Uber being in the city, you can basically stay anywhere and conveniently uber to business or leisure.

Room Tip: If you must stay here, ask for a room not on the street as it is noisy

The staff is very welcoming and do their best. The rooms are minimal, and I felt transported back to the '70s by the decor and feel. Light switches are inconveniently located and outlets limited. They have a washer and dryer for guest use but they didn't have detergent during my visit. Television is available with limited stations. The breakfast is okay, but nothing terribly interesting. So, while comfortable it is the staff to be remembered, not both the staff and accommodations.

They were extremely helpful and handled everytihing in a very professional manner. We have not received any complaints from our delegates.
Many thanks
