This is the way to get around Joburg if you 're not taking an Uber! Excellent service, clean, punctual, well organised and very easy to use. You can get to Pretoria on the thing as well which is very handy. It's a little pricy, but you pay for the quality and the ease of it all.

This was my first trip from ORT to Rosebank rather than Sandton, and it was fairly early on a Sunday morning following a flight from the UK.

On Sunday's the service is only every half an hour rather than than the weekly every 15 minutes, having just missed one train at the airport we waited for the next 27 minutes later. Good service to Sandton, then a change of level and wait again another 20 minutes for the train for one stop to Roseban.

The service is good but going the extra stop does eat into the time saving of a car from the airport but the service is efficient clean and safe. What more can you ask for

Got the Gautrain to OR Tambo airport.

Hadn't realised a prepaid smart card was required. Then sat in the back of the train and found out that only the front two carriages have their doors opened at the airport. Lugging a 24Kg case through a narrow corridor on the train was a pain!

I'll know next time!

It is the fastest way to OR Tambo Airport and no delays from Sandton.

The prepaid machines are sometimes faulty to top up your card which needs some attention.

It is such a pleasure not to stress about getting on your flight because you stuck in traffic. Quick and easy and reliable. Just make sure you have an uber or someone waiting for you on the other side as outside park station is not ideal to be waiting.
