We had a nice stay at the Plett River. Nice outside area to sit with a bottle of wine and see the sun go down, or with your own breakfast in the morning. Breakfast in the restaurant next to the hotel was also very good.
Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Honeymoon suite was a bit dissapointing since there was'nt a hot tub as mentioned on booking.com. No airco, so the room was pretty warm. But overall a very nice place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here.We had a very large first floor room over looking the river, we asked for a table to be bought up so we could sit outside..fabulous.A few things which would be appreciated are a fridge in the room and better wifi.We did find the noise on the nearby main road quite loud but was manageable with the windows closed at night. However the staff were a joy, the room spotlessly clean and we stay here again. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

Good Day

We stayed at the lodge and the only thing that was not pleasant is that there was no kitchen area as we have a 10 month old little girl. So no place to sterilise the bottles or a fridge for her food or milk. With being in the family room you would think this room will have this facilities. But otherwise the lodge and our experience was great. Super friendly staff

Plett River lodge was recommended by relatives who had stayed there recently, and we were given a warm welcome on arrival. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and the view of the feeding birds from our riverside terrace was spectacular. The room was spotlessly clean if a little basic by European standards, but the one big omission was a small fridge to keep cold drinks in, also food as you have to drive to nearest restaurants. We had a picnic one evening but had to eat earlier than planned due to the heat!! The breakfast in the adjoining cafe was good if a little expensive by SA standards, but the food was fresh and beautifully presented - shame there is no B & B option which would make life a little easier. The N2 main road is quite close, but we didn't really hear much traffic until breakfast time when we were up and about anyway. Would make a good stopover if you are travelling the Garden Route.
