From the moment we drove up the winding road to and through town to be greeted by innkeeper John everything was tops. He was gracious with dining recommendations and was a lot of fun to talk with. Though we had a reservation, we were offered an upgrade at no extra charge but chose to stay with our original booking, room 10. The place really does feel like an old fashioned inn that reflects it's hey day 100 years ago. Clean, very quiet, cozy etc. The room featured both a coffee maker and fridge plus a microwave and a stash of popcorn with an old fashioned bowl all of which we were encouraged to utilize. When we let it slip that it was my 50th birthday we were presented with a nice surprise that really went above and beyond. It was only a one night stay and we're glad this was our choice. As a side note, later when we stayed in Sedona, several residents said Jerome was the place for dining and live music.

Room tip: Apparently on live music nights you want to avoid being above the bar so inquire about that.

This place has a B&B feel -- minus one of the B's. Highly recommend our room -- 12 -- for the view. We heard that rooms closer to a popular bar on the first floor aren't as quiet. Our room was nicely furnished in a way that honors Jerome's past. The bathroom is tricked out with a great jacuzzi tub and shower. The Connor Hotel is next to galleries, restaurants and wine-tasting rooms.

We arrived on a drizzly Sunday in the early evening and were pleasantly surprised. After reading several reviews, it definitely lived up to expectations! Sadly, most of the shops close at 5p and there are limited restaurants available after 8p. Although the entire hotel was booked for the night, we never saw any other guests or even heard other guests walking by or even the usual water pipe noises you would expect in an older structure. We stayed in room #6, which is very comfortable for 2 guests traveling as friends. A large private bathroom, closet, desk, 2 beds, nightstands, settee, chairs and a cabinet with drawers that included a microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge and a variety of snacks, teas and coffee with the needed creamers and sugar packets (all included). The room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Jerome is a quaint little town filled with lots of history and an eclectic feel. There was even a little paranormal activity in our room (we had been warned by friends who stayed there previously, that "Cowboy" likes to hang out in the room). I definitely recommend a short walk down the street to the Mile High Restaurant for at least one meal! Parking can be challenging (we were lucky and found a spot on the street just east of the building when we arrived and were able to move the car to a spot across the street and visible from the room shortly after we checked in). There are stairs across the street for a short cut to the 2nd level of the downtown area. Be sure and bring your walking shoes because that is the quickest way around to see the shops with the limited parking.

Room tip: It is recommended that you stay in rooms that are not over "The Spirit Bar" which is on the first floor of the building. We were in room #6 and didn't hear a thing! The band stopped playing at 6p that night.

We only met two of the staff and they were great. Very friendly. The room we got was # 12. It was in the back of the building and had an incredible view of the valley. Very historic. The room was also very quiet. Didn't hardly hear any ghost at all. :)

Room tip: Book early and ask for a room away from the spirit room.

This hotel is highly rated by Tripadvisor. The reviews and actual experience did not disappoint! The rooms are large and very comfortable. They have all the amenities that one would like for an over-nite stay in Jerome. Conveniently located in the center of Jerome with a separate entrance to the hotel instead of the bar area. We stayed in room 12 with a king bed. Nice TV, microwave, refrigerator and bath. The shower heads probably could be replaced.

Room tip: On weekends, rooms 1 - 5 are located over the bar area where loud music can be heard.
