A HUGE Thank You to Thalasso and the IHG Group for the prodigious service and stay throughout our honeymoon at Bora Bora. Here are some top form points about this resort:

1. Superb views, Mt Otemanu was seen at every angle
2. Post card shots (every angle) of this beautiful resort
3. Perfect water level ( to jump off) from the over water bungalow
4. Superb service, each and everyone one of them greeted us well and they made our stay so comfortable at every point of our requests.
5. Great food ( exceeded our expectations, based on the reviews on food quality in bora-bora)
6. They arrange everything for you! Esp dining out in town ( a good point to note)
7. The room was to die for!, Huge, clean and just out of this world.

We are IHG members, and indeed proud to be as we received tons of great offers and rewards at the resort!

Thank you to Thalasso's Management & the team for making our honeymoon pleasurable and a memorable one :) We had no regrets on every penny spent and the hours travelling halfway across the world to this paradise.

Regards,
Mrs Kavita

Room Tip: Best room in the emerald category 205,206! and the rooms on the left side of the resort , away from the deck is the best.

A great resort. Best location, in my view. Lookin south to the gap in the reef is great. Great multilingual front staff with a very positive attitude.
The issue is the restaurants. The food at Le Sands, the informal restaurant, was very undercooked, twice. Prawns still grey once, a rare burger the next. Grey prawns are great in a sushi house in Tokyo, where I last but one had them. Antennae twitching on the adjacent head. Fresh in other words. A restaurant in the tropics is different.
At Le Reef the chairs are carved from a block of wood. Good theory. Bad execution. The minimal seat pad had long since stopped padding. Painful. If you go, ask for the few wicker chairs at the edge.
A great resort. All negatives can be corrected easily.
PLEASE new cushions!

This place was paradise. The room was fantastic, the food was unbelievable and the view was unmatched. Truly one of the most romantic and beautiful places on earth. Feeding the Stingrays to taking advantage of the incredible spa were just part of the activities to enjoy. Just relaxing in one of the most beautiful places on earth was enough to go back.

We had an excellent stay at the IC Thalasso in Bora Bora. First of all, the location on the island itself is on top of the most stunning part of the lagoon. We stayed in an end of pontoon overwater bungalow. It was a once-in a-lifetime experience! If we ever go a second time, we would probably save some $ and stay in a room closer to the beach on the pontoon, but it was an amazing way to experience Bora Bora. The staff was super attentive and every single person we met was very nice. I personally think that charging extra for shuttle rides to the main island is obscene on top of the price you pay to stay at the hotel in general, but all the other resorts do it. Overall, if we went back to Bora Bora, we would stay here again over anywhere else. Best 5-star resort for the price!

Room Tip: You can get a hotel/beach view room and save $ and can access the end of the pontoon for mountain view.

A truly amazing hotel in an beautiful location. The villas are probably as big as the ones at the Four Seasons and the St Regis so this hotel represents very good value against those two hotels. Everything about the hotel was stunning.

The water bungalows are amazing. There are loads of tropical fish swimming around the bungalows and into the lagoon areas. The sting rays come in each afternoon for feeding.

If you use the spa then you can have a massage while watching the fish below.

The happy hour on the beach was a wonderful way to end the day watching the sun go down with a cocktail while listening to the house band who were really good.

The buffet restaurant (Reef) was expensive at 9000 XPF per person and yet when we ate at the Corrail which was their main a la carte one this was only a bit more costlier. We ended up eating in the Sands restaurant which had a full menu and was so much cheaper than the buffet menu. It is on the beach so a lovely location for a meal.
The food was great wherever you went though.

It is definitely a place to relax as there is very little to do in the evenings and most sightseeing is connected to boat trips and water sports.

The one real negative was about the arrival at Bora Bora airport. There was no one on the welcome desk when we arrived despite there being someone there at all the other desks for the other hotels. We waited a while and eventually someone turned up and then in a very haphazard way they gave out luggage labels but forgot to give out some of the welcome letters and garlands and we had to ask for them. No water or cold towels were given out as the other hotels did. We then waited ages to get on the boat. The luggage was shoved under the seats and there was only enough room for us all to sit down. We were the last to get away by far. Once we got to the hotel everything was very organised and welcoming but this was not a great start and took the shine off what should have been an exciting start to an amazing holiday.

Room Tip: It is worth upgrading on your water bungalow so you are further out as possible for the best views

Dear Travelhappyalways, Greetings from Bora Bora.

Thank you very much for posting such a nice review. We are happy to read that your stay with us has met your expectations.

We are happy you liked your bungalow with private access to the lagoon. We are also thrilled to see you had great experiences in our restaurants. The Sands is, indeed, a beautiful spot to have your lunch or your dinner. The view on the lagoon and the Mount Otemanu is always so special from there

We are very sorry to hear of the inconveniences you experienced during your arrival at the Airport - however we appreciate your feedback, as it allows us the opportunity to review the occurrences in an effort to improve guest experience.

Once again, thank you for your thoughtful comments.
We look forward to have the opportunity of serving you in the future.

Mauruuru roa
