The best Indian we've been to in Melbourne! The service was impeccable...the food was delicious. We will definitely be returning to this little gem.

A favourite with family and friends. Nothing too much effort. Food and service are excellent
Ask if you do not see. Really is the best in Bayside

Some different items on the menu to choose from.
House chicken dish Haryali was a fabulous mix of flavours and aroma. Left a wonderful taste in the mouth long after meal was over.
Lamb bhuna gosht was my partners choice and he was licking his lips and saying this is the best Indian dish he has ever tasted.
Only disappointment was the roti and naan breads which were thick and like chewing gum.

Towards the end of an otherwise beautiful Chicken Jalfrezi, there was this rather large piece of undercooked chicken!
We asked the wait staff to let the kitchen know.
Was there an apology? Well. NO!
Was there an adjustment in the Bill? NO again!
Was there any compensatory gesture? NO! NO!
Should we go back? Well, it is (usually) the best Indian restaurant in the area, so, should you let one really bad slip prevent the possibility of future enjoyment?
Time will tell.

It is sometime since we have been to Zaika , thought it had changed hands. They have done a renovation since our last visit. Friendly family run Indian restaurant. Food was a little spicier than we remembered, however good servings and good service made this a pleasurable evening, will be back.
