Exceptional staff made our holiday at this charming small hotel. We chose this after a review in a Sunday paper and we were not disappointed.
We were upgraded to a large room in the main house with views over the courtyard restaurant and the most beautiful gardens. We spent some time around the pool when the weather permitted as we were there earlyin the season but mostlky enjoyed travelling around the Datca peninsula.
We experienced a traditional hammam one afternoon. This was complimentary with our booking. The original family hammam was next door to our room. The fire was lit a few hours before our visit to heat the water and floor of the hammam. My husband had a massage afterwards and we both felt so relaxed.
We ate in the restaurant on three evenings and in Datca by the marina the rest of the time.
This place is perfect for a quiet recharge. Not for clubbers or anyone wanting busy bars.

Room Tip: The traditional rooms in the main hotel were more to our taste but the stone house rooms are very modern and might suit others.

The stunning gardens and the mansion itself are amazing. A great place for anyone looking for solitude in a beautiful environment. It is not on the water, but we had rented a car and loved traveling around the Datca peninsula visiting various beaches. The hotel itself and the surrounding area had the feel of being off the beaten path, which I appreciated very much. We stayed in a Stone House room because we wanted air conditioning; since it wasn't all that hot when we were there, I sort of regretted this since the mansion itself is just so beautiful and well restored. If I was booking for August, I think the Stone House would be the way to go though for sure. The rooms there are very simple and rustic but felt just right for the environment they're in. The food at the mansion is good, nothing outstanding but perfectly pleasant. We found the staff to be very warm and accomodating throughout our stay.

Just spent a week at this "Museum Hotel" - and really can't understand the two recent grouchy reviews of it. The description - "Museum Hotel" - is just right: delightful fusion of 200-year-old Ottoman mansion and elegant modern boutique hotel, set in some of the most stunningly beautiful grounds I have seen - providing welcome shade under huge fig-trees, pergolas draped in jasmine, etc. Restaurant is of luxury standard, and service (all departments) is a fine blend of charm, efficiency, and hospitableness. Life doesn't exactly get exciting at Mehmet Ali Aga Mansion - but a stay there is a sweet and restorative tonic to the senses.

Room Tip: Stone House: choose upper floor. Masion Rooms: historic, beautiful, but lack air con (though there are always cooling breezes)..

me and my husband stay in this beautiful place for 7 nights. Everything was excellent even food, atmosphere and the garden. Staff was very polite, helpfull and smile face. We used to turkish bath and massage it was brilliant that i never had. When you go to the reseption for a request about something they can respond immediately and can arrange transfer, boat trip, daily trip with guide e.t.c.

Shortly we had an amazing staying in this Mansion. We will absolutely go back to this paradise again for our next holiday.

I exactly recommend this place to everyone! You are not going to be regret!
