This tour has got to be one of the best bargain deals on all of Rarotonga. For $10 New Zealand the owners provide a passionate description of their brewing process and provide 3 full glass samples of their super beers. Yum!!!

They also provided a sample of the intermediate brew mix primarily made from barley in which the grains have turned to sugar but there's no alcohol yet. This delicious sweet unique thing was totally new to me.

If you can get to this little place you won't regret it. If you don't have transportation or prefer not to drink and drive, call them up. They will pick you up and drop you off for an additional five bucks New Zealand.

It's all a great bargain and a fine education as well as lots of fun for just 1 hour. Matuto does tours daily at noon and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

This casual and informative lecture and tasting was so fun! The brew master involved all ten visitors from six different countries by opening with info on the main beers from the represented countries. Then the tasting started: all the beers were so fresh and excellent! The detailed explanation of the brewing informed us not only about beer but gave a true understanding of the challenges of having a business on an island and having to import every ingredient needed: bottles, caps, malt, hops... everything except the water. If you can't make it to the tour order Matutu at a local spot: it's really worth it. But order early because the brewery only makes enough to fill the orders daily... freshest, smoothest beer! Enjoy

Very informative talk, learnt a lot about beer and all for only $10 which included 3 glasses of different craft beers.
Beers were all good quality - no preservatives and to me tasted very good.

Well worth doing, my wife and I were really glad we did it.

Who knew that there was a brewery on Raro? They don't produce a huge range, nor vast quantities of what they do have. Nonetheless, it's well worth a visit. The guy conducting the tour is knowledgeable and really into his stuff. Their IPA, if they have stock, is pretty good.

This little brewery should not fool you, the people that work there are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. They really take the time to make sure you understand their craft and how they make their beer. I’m not a beer drinker but I’ve got a new appreciation for it all! My partner thoroughly enjoyed the tasting and explanation of the how the brewery works. So worth the visit and make sure you’re ther for the 12 -1 tour or you’ll miss out!
