This tiny garage was converted into an industrial-shabby cafe. Every item was better than anticipated and the staff are fun-loving. We 2 ordered chocolates frío (2 scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with a chocolate frappe, a overflowing mound of whipped cream, and Oreos. We also ordered the josephina & a Cookie Monster- WHOOAAA! The caramel creamy josephina was scrumptious and the Cookie Monster was a tiramisu-esque frappé (both mounded with whipped cream and cookies). The pizza roll is like a pizza cinnamon roll - amazing! This place is slammed but there is not a hurried feel or uncomfortableness in the fast-paced staff and order-filling. This is a great surprise for kids (or the kind in you) after museum hopping, traffic sitting, or even some shopping at the artisan market. This is becoming our 'day date' place for sure. *Prices range from about $3-5.50*

The food was satisfying and tastefully presented. The cost was a bit high but we found this to be about average as prices for food in San Jose is somewhat high. If you want to eat Gallo Pinto (white rice and black beans cooked together) daily it will only cost you from 1200-1500 Collones (2-3 dollars) Anything else will cost about 20USD for two and that includes KFC and Hamburger spots. We ate at middle to high price places including one that cost us 136 dollars (USD) for two and another one for 114 USD. We averaged between 40-60 dollars for two at most places and most of the places, it was worth it.

A friend and I did quite a coffee tour around San Jose in the last months, always looking for ones that really take advantage of the high quality of the costarican coffee beans.
The Cafe Miel has the best frozen/milkshake/frappuccino stile coffees of San Jose in my opinion.
For the sweet-tooth ones is a blast!!
I had the Oreo one and I loved it!
The place gets packed easily due to its tiny size, but it's worth waiting in line.

I am a follower on their faceboom page and looking all their posts is like: FOODPORN.
I went there, and the tiny place is gorgeous but is extremely small, doesnt have a good air flow and a very disgusting smell was around there.
The customer service is good, they are fast and friendly..however, the point that you have to wait outside because of the space is kind of annoying.
I ordered a cold coffee, the "happy ending" one..it was good, but wasnt very cold and I was expecting more. It was very normal.
I asked for the reese's cake, and they havent. So I ordered the snicker's one, and it was glorious. The cake wasn't fresh, and I would say that will be better if they refrigerate the cakes!
I would like to give them another chance!
