After touring Manuel Antonio National Park, we stopped for lunch at this spot which is about 1/2 mile from the park entrance and directly across the street from the public beach. The open air setting afforded great views and a nice breeze. We had the fried whole fish, ceviche, and tuna carpaccio. All dishes were delicious and service was very attentive. The beer was ice cold!

We went to this seafront restaurant on two occasions with our somewhat fussy children (11 and 13) and on each occasion we could not fault the food or the service. The mixed combo appetizser was sufficiently large for our two girls to share. We had the ceviche and a seafood risotto. On day two the girls had a tomato pasta dish and the eldest accidentally ordered a whole grilled fish. She was a litttle taken aback by this but with a little help got through it. The fish meat was very white and the skin was lovely and crisp, like a fishy crackling. We had a tasty bruschetta (cost about £3) to start and followed by a prawn and squid dish in garlic and chicken with rice. We also had a drink each on both occasions. Prompt service each time. There are cheaper places around for sure (especially given the value of the pound), but for the quality of food we could not fault it. The cost was around $64 on day one and a bit more on day two.

We had intended to eat at El Sol restaurant, but it was unexpectedly closed on a Monday. So, we walked next door and found a very diverse meal offering from Marlin. The food was good, nice portions and 2 for 1 drinks. Four adults ate and were all happy with burritos, fish, and chicken plates. The nil was $60US including tax and tip. We also left an extra c5000 for good service. Nice view of the beach, monkeys in the trees next door, overall a good place. Pura Vida!

Fairly low average beach restaurant - cold beer :)
Food was ok but vs cost very poor as all restaurants in Manuel Antonio!
