This was my favorite restaurant in Manuel Antonio. Tucked away on a side street you wouldn't know from looking at it that they have such a great view. It's open on the ocean view side so you have an unobstructed view of the ocean and scenery. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner but more importantly they have an array of cakes and tarts every day. It has a sweet, low-key authentic feel. I would highly recommend at least one visit but I'm sure you'll go back again once you go!

We had breakfast at Emilio's and the food was great, but the service and staff was even better! We ate our breakfast with a beautiful ocean view. I would highly recommend Emilio's if you are in the Quepos area!

We stopped he one morning for breakfast on our way down to the beach. Already had coffee at our place so just had food this stop. We both ordered croissants and both were excellent and not too filling. We made a point to come back later the next night after dinner when we walked by the dessert case and saw all of the home made pies and desserts. We tried a slice of peanut butter chocolate pie and key lime pie along with their house blend coffee which was the best coffee we had while we were there. Although in defense of other places that claim the best coffee, aside from what we had in our room this was the only restaurant coffee we had on the trip. But we enjoyed it so much we purchased a couple bags to take home with us and are still enjoying it this week.

Emilio's cafe is located in a really beautiful spot of Manuel Antonio. From the restaurant, you can see a gorgeous ocean view. The restaurant is also nicely decorated and very welcoming.

I ordered the sea bass with coconut and ginger sauce, accompanied by mashed potatoes and vegetables. It was all excellent, the sauce especially! The veggies were not over cooked and had a really good flavor as well.

My boyfriend ordered the "pincho" fish (I don't remember exactly the name), and it was also delicious. This one was crispy, it came with a huge stick with pieces of fish interspersed with onion and red pepper, mashed potatoes and salad.

The food is definitely worth recommending. The downside is the prices... Like many places in Costa Rica, this one is a bit too expensive as well, at least for South American standards. You'll pay around USD 20 per main course and there's no cheaper option at dinner - apart from salad. At lunch they serve sandwiches for half the price.

Emilios was within walking distance of the home we rented in Manuel Antonio and was one of our favorite stops each day. During our eight day stay we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at Emilio's and always had great food and service. You will not go wrong here and the view is one of the best anywhere.
