Description: El Mirador Restaurant is located near Arenas del Mar's reception area and pool, overlooking Espadilla Beach, Manuel Antonio National Park, and the Pacific Ocean. El Mirador—which means “the viewpoint” in Spanish—has an open air, covered interior dining area and outdoor seating. Along with breathtaking views and gorgeous sunsets, our restaurant serves breakfast and dinner using fresh, local ingredients. Start your day with our complimentary breakfast: fresh fruits, homemade granola, warm muffins and breads, eggs, pancakes and of course, Costa Rican coffee. Our dinner menu includes highlights such as locally caught fish and other delicacies at this authentic full-service Costa Rican restaurant.

This is the restaurant at the outstanding hotel, Arenas del Mar Beachfront Resort. It is excellent with beautiful views, ambiance, and great food. Also, the people working there go out of their way to make you feel special and welcome.

This was a fantastic find and all round great experience. Great fresh food, warm Tico familly hospitality and fun out-door dining. The new restaurant is on one of the side streets on the ocean side of MA. I wasnt sure that we had found the right placet when we saw the sign and there it was- tables just off the road with the Kitchen in the back and bar in the front. We felt welcome the moment we arrived, we didnt even let our server - the patriarch of the family- get past the first dish of Fish- red snapper when we all said Yes please. It was simply grilled but fantastic, served with baed and dressed potato and salad. Even my picky 6yo ate it up with pleasure. After we were offered special Costa Rican Christmas cake. I highly recommend to people wanting to get away from the stuffy and rich restaurant dinners and have simple fresh and tasty food. Signage off the main road is great- just opposite and up a few meters from the Hacienda restaurant.

We stayed at Arena Del Mar for 10 days (our second visit), and we ate at Mirador most nights as their selection is excellent and the Executive Chef will make anything you ask of him. The Cosado and Sea Bass were our favorites. The waiters/waitresses and far superior to others and attend to your every need.

This is the larger and more formal restaurant connected with the stunning Arenas del Mar resort/hotel. As with the hotel itself, service is quick and friendly. The food is good to very good, especially when your server brings out a "chef's surprise" as a complimentary starter. Plantain mashed and flattened, fried, and topped with black-bean puree and pico de gallo sauce -- wow! Costa Rica's double taxation (a 13% and a 10% added to your bill) runs up the total at an otherwise reasonably priced venue.
