This hotel had one of the largest rooms we had in 2 weeks, on the 3rd floor facing the pool below and the trees behind the hotel. The check in is in the art gallery on the first floor of the hotel, and the entire hotel is nicely decorated with local art. Our room (#4 I think) had a kitchenette, and a nice seating areas both in the room itself and the living room/kitchen area. A good breakfast made to order, is included as well.

Location is on the main road to Manuel Antonio, just after the Blue Monkey and Hotel California road, about 7-10 minutes to Manuel Antonio park. Although the hotel is located on the main road, I believe all the rooms face the back so you don't get much road noise. While relaxing at the pool, we saw some Fiery-billed Aracari playing in the trees above, so that was a treat.

Not a luxury hotel but a very good mid-range inn and a great choice for Manuel Antonio, where the hotels can get very pricey.

We stayed at Plaza Yara with our two young kids, 6 and 3. We had a wonderful, big room and balcony to hang out overlooking the pools and hot tub (though that one was a bit refreshing;)) The property is clean and neat and has the perfect location if you are busy traveling around and want to be active. It is close to the town Quepos, beaches and restaurants. We would recommend a car although the bus stop is right next to the hotel.
Breakfast is plenty and very good, the staff is very friendly and they have good recommendations to explore the area.
A perfect little oasis in the jungle!

Room Tip: The bigger rooms with 2 queen beds have big balconies

Thank you for talking the time to review your stay at Hotel Plaza Yara. Also we would like to thank you for description of the hotel as lovely.
Dear Guest,
Plaza Yara is a small all suite hotel located in Manuel Antonio, the main road in Manuel Antonio is only 7 kilometers in length the two major attractions for the area are the Manuel Antonio National Park and the Marina Pez Vela. Hotel Plaza Yara is located between the National Park and Marina and offers easy access to both locations. Located within Plaza Yara is a restaurant and bar which is open seven days a week and serves lunch and dinner as well as having a full bar. Drink service and food is also available in our pool area. Breakfast is included with your stay and is served in our cafe daily.

The beaches in Manuel Antonio are surronded by nature, trees and animals and it is part of what makes this area so special and beautiful.

Again thank you for choosing Hotel Plaza Yara. Pura Vida.

Mid range hotel that succeeds in providing top level service. Large and comfortable rooms with beds that were quite comfortable.
Hotel provides a basic and limited breakfast, but it was nourishing nevertheless. Wait staff were amazing.

This little hotel was so peaceful, clean and comfortable. Great breakfast service, nice little pools backing on to the jungle, helpful staff and the suites are cool, quiet and furnished beautifully. The hotel was visited by monkeys and a Jesus lizard ran over the pool while my daughter swam (chased by the hotel kitten who was also a great plus point in my daughters opinion :)).
