Visiting such a remote place as Tortuguero, it is good to know you are staying at place run by people you can rely on. Daryl, the owner of Casa Marbella was so helpful, giving advice and answering any questions we had before or during our trip. He even went out of his way to help us with a problem we were having with our rental car. It was greatly appreciated.
In the morning boat tour, given by Daryl, we not only saw a lot of wildlife but also learned a lot and heard interesting stories about them.
The location is great, right in the middle of town. You are free to explore the village, its restaurants or the national park whenever you want. I don't think you have the same feel of the village if you take one of the package deals and stay at a lodge out of town.
If you go into the park, you need rubber boots, which are provided by casa Marbella to it's guests.
It's a great place which I would highly recommend.More
