My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Lost Iguana when we first arrived in Costa Rica. Our room was so big yet cozy. The shower was very unique! The hotel was very quiet, clean and tucked away from the road. The property is so lush with stunning bright flowers all over. The views of the volcano from our room were unlike anything we have ever seen, absolutely gorgeous! We had breakfast at the hotel daily, which was delicious. The staff was super friendly and everyone wore masks. We had some room service snacks there as well after we got back from our excursions. The hanging bridges is a ten minute drive, we also did an ATV tour of the area and the guides showed us to the Venado Caves, which we explored with another guide there. I highly recommend. We zip lined maybe a 20-25 minute drive from the hotel. The location is perfect, you can go to the hot springs, see the waterfall, do excursions, go to La Fortuna for dinner and come back to this beautiful peaceful resort. Also there is a trail on the resort which we explored before breakfast one day, it takes about an hour, absolutely gorgeous. The amount of hummingbirds at this hotel was insane, we loved sitting on our balcony with some fresh coffee and watching them.

My husband and I stayed three nights at the Lost Iguana and had an amazing time! For us, the real selling point of the hotel was the view of the volcano from our room, it was incredible, definitely worth it just for the view. We stayed in a Luxury Suite, which was very large and had a jacuzzi on our second floor balcony. Everything was very clean in the room, though a little rustic, but we were fine with it -- though it's maybe not for everyone. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant every day, and were very pleased with it. There was a good variety, and everything was very tasty, especially the Tres Leches cake! Every staff member was very friendly, and also very good about following Covid Rules. The staff was super helpful in also assisting us with booking tours throughout our stay, which was a huge plus. They also even assisted us in finding a Covid Test before our departure. They organized for a clinic to come right to our room and administer the test. It saved us time and a lot of stress!

Lastly, we loved that the resort had its own walking and hiking paths. They were surprisingly very elaborate! It took us over an hour to walk the length of the hike, which was very scenic with bridges and birds along the way. Overall, we had an amazing time at the Lost Iguana, if you are looking for a very quiet, clean, and relaxing resort in nature, then this is the hotel for you.

We stayed there two nights in a luxury suite, a very nice room with a balcony and a jacuzzi. The biggest complain is the lack of real curtains; with rooms oriented towards the east-south-east, if you need some darkness to have a good sleep, that could be a problem, and itś maybe better to get a standard deluxe room instead (some view, no jacuzzi, less windows). The restaurant was excellent, but, despite Covid time, the masks were not mandatory for the hosts and, sometimes, we didn’t feel comfortable having guests walking around without respect.

The Lost Iguana property is simply stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed walks around the property and late afternoons watching the sunset from our porch. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and very spacious. The service was very good, especially at the onsite restaurant. We didn't use the pools while we were there as it rained a lot but they looked very clean and inviting. The hotel is relatively far from town. This is a great hotel if you are looking for peace, quiet, and romance.

Room tip: It seems like the views from all rooms are stunning. We loved our upstairs room.

Our third year in a row at this beautiful resort. Staff are exceptional-the front desk woman is superb! Juan Carlos in the bar/restaurant was fabulous. Missed Luis at the pool bar. The resort was exceptionally quiet due to Covid, which was a little disappointing. Due to low volume of guests, staffing was also low, so food service was slow (but food was excellent). The grounds keeping staff must also be decreased...but overall this resort is gorgeous and lush
