Tourist trap the owner pays drivers to stop and bring tourist to this place, place looks inexpensive but is not you can get some quality food for the same price stay away they will give you cheap food for an expensive price and to top mediocre at best.
Much better places up the road don’t let drivers take you there so they can collect their commission.

We came in with a big group after a long hike and enjoyed daiquiris made with fresh fruits like maracuyá and mango. This family ran restaurant is in a convenient location on the highway just before the turnoff toward the national park entrance. The steak and chicken dishes seemed to be the winners at our table. The portions were very generous and the service very attentive.

We called in here on the way back to our hotel from a hot mornings walking. We didn’t speak Spanish and the staf didn’t speak English but they were lovely and we got there in the end. Reasonable prices for a touristy area, superb views.
I ordered a burger, something I don’t usually eat (I had already had rice for breakfast), and it was clearly home made and a very tasty meal. Wished we were in the area for longer as we would have returned.
It isn’t flashy just friendly with good freshly cooked food.

We ordered the Arroz a la Montaña. It was one of the few vegetarian dishes. It does not come with beans, but I ordered them extra. Both the rice and beans were delicious. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very nice. They did not speak very much English, but I was able to get by with my very little Spanish.

We ate there after having visited the Mistico Hanging Bridges Park. The food is maybe too fancy weird, but we were not a fan of the sauces on our 3 dishes. Too much sauce or not tasting too good. But that could be just us. The staff were nice. The best of all is that the restaurant is in the mountainous area (along side the road to LaFortuna from Hanging Bridges) and so animals come and get some free food scrapes from the restaurant. We saw neat birds and a coati. Pretty neat!
