This review is from a stay in January 2020. I don’t recommend booking your tours through the hotel. Please do your independent research to find quality tours! I had a bad experience booking a ziplining tour with the company Arenal Mundo Aventura through this hotel. I had to go tandem with one of the male instructors because I didn’t weigh enough to get to the other end on the longer ziplines. It felt uncomfortable when he wrapped his legs around my butt, and on one of the long ziplines, he let me go alone even though I feel like he knew I wouldn’t make it to the end. When I got stuck, he put his hands on my butt to push me to the other end. I wouldn’t want someone else to go through my experience, so this is why I’m writing this review.
With regards to the hotel, I feel like I have to mention that the staff are very friendly at first, but towards the end, they behaved very coldly. I think it’s because we weren’t tipping on top of the already included tip on the restaurant bill. I feel like other guests probably don’t realize that tip is already included on the receipt and they end up double tipping, which is what they expected from us. Also, there were a lot of mites on the counter tops in the hotel room. When we called the front desk, they came down to help clean and spray the counter tops, but the bugs would return every day.
FYI, I booked this hotel through Hotels.com, but their review option is unavailable so I’m posting this review here.
