I brought my teenage daughter and her friend to Costa Rica for adventure, and this hotel was the perfect place to relax after a busy day. The hot springs were calming and beautiful, and the wet bar offered an array of tasty drinks.
We were greeted at the door with cool drinks, which was a nice touch. The service was excellent every point, from toting luggage to restaurant staff. I would recommend having loose dollars on one's person at all times, because the staff is well deserving of tips.
The food at the restaurant wasn't as good or as well priced as at the local Sodas, family owned restaurants, but it was agreeable. The price to get into town to eat elsewhere was a bit much, coming in at around 12 dollars. The included breakfast was amazing! They had a wide scope of both traditional and american meal options.
The beds are extra firm, which can be off putting to some. The room was well spaced however, and the bathroom was gorgeous.
I loved how environmentally friendly this hotel is, and the whole country for that matter! Though their website mentions the lack of wifi in private rooms, I must stress that even the lobby wifi is sketchy. I urge all patrons to print documents needed for travel and day activities instead of relying on wifi to pull them up when needed.
