Luxurious and peaceful and well worth every cent.

From the picturesque landscape to the Arenal volcano as a backdrop, Hotel Lomas del Volcán is worth five stars. Our room was in it's own bungalow, clean, comfortable and cozy. We had a large, spacious bathroom and balconies to the front and back of the bungalow. The grounds were impeccably manicured and the lush greenery and flowers just brought the paradise vibe. It was tranquil and just made me feel so much in harmony with nature.

The front desk staff, tour scheduler, restaurant staff, porters were all friendly, polite and helpful and readily available. They always asked if you spoke Spanish and most could easily switch to English if necessary.

The food was amazing! There was a wide variety of foods for breakfast and the wait staff there were smiling and bubbly. This is a dream location and our experience was top of the line. It was one of the best places, I've ever stayed at. Certainly value for money!

the best hotel of my trip

The place is very beautiful, lots of nature, the gardens are very well maintained, the best hotel of the entire trip to Costa Rica, very good space, the pool is very beautiful, the restaurant is very beautiful, good views of the national park and the volcano, many animals, the waiters serve you They indicate where the monkeys and toucans and other animals are, the service is very good, the food in the bars is excellent, I recommend it, Robert on the tour is very assertive, the breakfast buffet is very good, the waiter service in the morning is not so good, very distributed days Very good service, very little good days, in the bars very fast everything Julian de la Fortuna very smiling and Yousebeth very friendly, Jose at the reception good guy and Richary excellent thank you very much we had a great time.

Room tip: The place is very beautiful near the center of La Fortuna but the hotel has everything you need to get off.

Amazing!!

The best hotel ever! The staff is so kind and friendly and the property is absolutely breathtaking ! booked a deluxe one bedroom and the spa on the balcony was so magical! Had a couples spa day and would recommend anyone to do the same! We will be back!

Best view in town

In reality this property would be a 3.5/5. It was the inconsistency in the service standards and sense of hospitality that lets them down. On a positive note our room was excellent with an incredible view of the Arenal Volcano from the back door. Each cabin has a well maintained garden that was often visited by hummingbirds or the occasional coati. Inside was quite spacious, air conditioned and with a very good bathroom. The cabins were a little too close to each other for my liking though I did not find noise to be a problem. My real complaint is what I would have expected from a property that commands such a price per night. I would have thought that a request for some ice to our room was not an unreasonable. Apparently I needed to walk to the bar as room service dining do not acccamodate this. They will however deliver a meal to your room though note that there is an additional US$5 for this. Dining at the restaurant was overpriced and we found the meals served at the bar more than adequate. Breakfast options were buffet and for us provided enough variety to start our day.

Amazing bungalows in Costa Rica

This hotel was great and very luxurious. The breakfast was impressive, we enjoyed walking on the private trail they had on the property, and the bungalows were so delightful to stay in!!! Getting an Uber to leave the property was super easy, and the staff were all incredibly helpful.

Room tip: Get the romantic suite with the jacuzzi on your back porch!!!!
