We- family of four- stayed here for two nights. The room was tiny (we got the cheapest room), but nice; I loved the front porch where we could sit and relax/watch the birds/look at the volcano. The bathroom could use some updating; it was old, a bit musty-smelling, and dirty around the corners. There is no Wifi in the room, but that didn't bother me one bit- that's not why I go on vacation. Our room was at the bottom of the property, so you could hear the street all night, which didn't bother us as we hear that at our own house; but if that's a problem, you might want to request a room higher up the hill. I LOVED the hot spring pools!!! They were SO refreshing after a busy day of touring, and surprisingly not too busy (besides the top one or two, which are the hottest, but the lower ones are quite warm enough). The vegetarian pizza at the pool snack area was delicious, and very reasonably priced ($10 for one; my family of four ate 3). I really loved the nature at the resort- birds all over the place (we saw SO MANY different kinds!), and every morning we could hear howler monkeys- was so cool! Breakfast was yummy (including an eggs-to-order station), I just wish it would start at 6 instead of 6:30 (since our tours started early; but 6:30 seems to be the...We- family of four- stayed here for two nights. If the rooms had been cleaner/more updated (especially bathroom), I would've given the place 5 stars. But overall we loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.More
