The perfect place to relax after arrival or before returning home. Beautiful setting with a
wonderful host, Renate. Very close to the airport and very quiet compared to busy San Jose. They even cooked a delicious dinner for me so I did not have to go anywhere else.

The hotel is situated in a nice garden with a great view of the volcano. The rooms are spacious and well equiped. The German owner is very friendly and helpfull. The place is very quiet but not far away from the airport. Good value-for-money.

Close to Poas, La Paz and the Airport. The grounds are lush with great views of the jungle. Rooms are clean but I didn't have AC, not sure if other rooms did.
It was in a bit of a noisy area of town. Dogs were barking while we were trying to get to sleep before an early flight.
The host was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. We had to leave at 5am, so well before the breakfast time. She had sandwiches and coffee made for us.
I would recommend staying here.

Needing a one-night stop near the San Jose airport we chose Visa Linda Montana based on it’s location outside the suburbs of San Jose. Somewhat difficult to find without GPS (thank goodness I printed detailed maps) we eventually did. Upon arrival we were very warmly greeted by Sabrina (and Joe the dog).

Our room was large but very basic. WiFi worked well. The view over the surrounding countryside was nice, providing a rural feel.

Although there is an option for dinner we wanted to eat earlier. Sabrina pointed us to nearby La Cochina de Celina, a wonderful little cantina where we enjoyed a very typical Costa Rican meal. In spite of an early morning flight Sabrina had coffee on and made us a couple of sandwiches – very considerate and appreciated. Her directions to the airport were clear.

Don’t expect the most memorable rooms/lodging, albeit it our room was large and clean, but do expect very welcoming, helpful, hospitable hosts at a fair price.

Host was lovely, her staff very friendly, it felt like a place away from the city, with beautiful views, room was very clean, but beds were not comfortable, one in particular was too soft and only some small wire shelves for storage...no area to really unpack luggage. Included breakfast was OK, nothing special. Breakfast room available throughout the day for own food preparation and eating, if you decided to do that, fridge was shared by all guests (not kept too clean). Convenient location if you have a car and GPS ( Waze works best) and great for visits to Volcan Poas and La Paz Waterfall Gardens.
