Your typical Alabama BBQ with a twist. Yes, they do serve more than just ribs. A good variety, not only pork dishes, but enough to please almost any one (chicken, fish, breakfast etc.). The menu states you have 3 sauces to pick from (house, red neck (sweet) and white). If you order the smoke wings, they even ask if you want them hot or mild. They are not afraid to use the sauce. They do have plenty of napkins. You will need them if you have the smoke wings or ribs. Lets face it, there's only one way to eat those items. Pork comes chopped unless requested. Choice of sides really make it (not just potato salad & bake beans). Cole Slaw great (mayo/sugar), bake beans good with a vinegar base, potato salad great (mayo, with a touch of mustard & firm), sorry but good the okra & mac & cheese appear not to have that home made taste. Portion sizes good. Pies especially look good, must be, the one we wanted was already sold out. Plenty of seating room and good atmosphere. Of course, there is your Alabama & Auburn dedications. Parking good. Staff very friendly, will do their upmost to make you feel welcomed. One word of caution, if you are running late, they can close early if business or weather is not good. They are suppose to be open till 9, but I have seen them close 30 minutes to 1 hour early. Well maybe, its winter hours. Look for the sign on the door, rather than their main sign.
