Owner description: The riverside walk along the Bund may be busy and crowded during the day, but with good reason - it's simply a must when in Shanghai for people-watching and getting a good feel for the city.

This walkway lines The Bund and takes in breathtaking views of both sides of the river. There are concession stands and some interesting new features such as a musical pathway being add all the time. You'll meet lots of friendly locals, especially those who want to practice their English.

From Pudong's promenade you have great views onto the Bund in a relaxed atmosphere with lots of good restaurants and café such as Lavazza, Häagen Dasz and Paulaner nearby. It can get a little busy, but it's not even close as busy as on the Bund. Perfect stroll on the weekend after a Brunch in Pudong or before visiting the Paulaner beer garden.

take the time to just absorb this section of Shanghai. The river and buildings on both sides depicting the new and the old is quite fascinating

This was a beautiful walk. It was hot out ...but Pepsi set up water misters everywhere to cool down. Great views of the cool architecture in Shanghai. Lots of vendors selling pop and snacks etc
