Has many artifacts to learn about Chinese history.
somethings you can relate to in modern life as this is where it all began.

This is a museum for people who have no clue about Shanghai at all. There are representations of the crafts once existing in Shanghai. Nothing out of ordinary though...

I’m not much for History museums and we looked inside Shanghai History museum to have a notion of it, the more so because the charge for it was included into Oriental Pearl Tower ticket. And it turned out to be a lovely surprise! At first there’s a display cars – from the 1st automobile which appeared in Shanghai at the turn of the XX century, up to luxury supercars from Expo 2010. The next halls revived old Shanghai representing all spheres of life: farming, cloth manufacture, night life… What I loved most is that expositions with wax figures are made alive with suitable music accompaniment and real artefacts. The museum space is nicely organized involving all possible options – holographic techniques, video, etc.
