If shopping is the main objective of your visit, there's no better place than Huaihai Road Commercial Street. With impressive showrooms & malls carrying the world renowned brands, this is a shopper's paradise. One can walk a lot and spend a lot of time in the area. The road network being good, there's ample place for pedestrians to walk comfortably.

In the heart of Shanghai, a lot of shops and plenty of food. Avoid summer, it is very hot and over-crowded.

It is good for people watching, nothing fun itself though. Grab a bite and stay a while at a cafe can be good, too, otherwise it is always crowded and noisy. Well, that's Shanghai.
