I've stayed at Ratu Kini's on multiple occasions over the past few years... and it keeps getting better and improving. As the title says... I come here to relax, dive, eat well, and meet people.
Relax... on the beach right in front of the resort deck, or on the said deck which is awesome right in front of the water watching the sea or the sunset.
Dive... always enjoyed my diving here... it's too easy to organise a dive, got my Padi here quickly and cheaply (compared to others in Fiji), and have seen some amazing varied types of corals, fish, sharks, rays, lobsters... even a moray eel that scared the s&%! of of me.
Eat well... many times have I eaten fish we caught on fishing expeditions, the set meals are always filling and delicious, and people come here from other resorts to eat which says it all.
Meet people... this is what sets Ratu Kini's apart from other places... there are always people from all round the world here... everyone's friendly... and the setup with nightly activites and tables on the deck means you can develop friends and have a great time.

Look... this is not a 5 star resort, and doesn't try to be... it's value for money, the rooms and beds are fine for the price, the staff are friendly and will always try to help, the owner listens to feedback and is continually improving the place (as I've noticed over the years), there's a good internet cafe, the nightly music and activities are fun and a great way to relax and meet people, and if you just want to do your own thing you certainly can.

The location is beautiful, and the staff so friendly. The diving is spectacular, everything was excellent value for money. Entertainment every night and yummy food! This is the second time I have stayed at Ratu Kini, and I will be back in August... I can't wait!

Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if you want to relax yourselves. Staff smoking in the lobby area, laughing shouting at each other in the kitchen! I stayed there for three nights and had no time even outside to relax due to noise. Staffs are friendly though but lack proper training a waiter just march to and fro with order book without taking orders have to keep on going to e reception to ask for a order we get same response from the front desk that take a sit will take down your order.
We were served by a different waiter who seems have just came back from sleep without shoes and untidy hair. We ordered chicken fried Rice and beef fried rice was served to us.
Overall the standard of the hotel is OK but lack in some major areas.

Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Rude staff and worst of all- bedbugs! Loads and loads of bedbugs. I stayed there for three nights and had to spend those nights in three different beds because of bedbugs. The staff sprayed the beds with some random stuff they said would kill the bedbugs but when I used my torch and looked under the mattress they were still there. They also said the wooden bunks were new - but if you read the inscriptions under they're people who slept in them 2003. The problems are well known on the other islands and if you go from there to another island resort you will have to wash all your stuff. My advise is - Go somewhere else!

Room Tip: There arent any good rooms.

very nice place to stay and relax with clean rooms, delicious food, brilliant beach, lots of activities to join in (thanks, sam:)) and the staff is incredibly friendly. we liked especially that the bungalows are located in the village of mana which is directly on the beach.
