This gem of a getaway is the perfect beginning or ending to any trip "down under". It does not allow any quests under the age of 16 which makes it a quiet and relaxing place for couples or anyone just wanting to get away to read a good book or simply enjoy doing nothing. The grounds are immaculate and the service is warm, and friendly, as nothing is too much trouble. The staff is always around and will take care of anything you may need. There is a beautiful pool to relax by...they will bring food or drinks to you while lounging so it makes for a perfect spot to hang out all day. There are plenty of cabanas and since it is a small resort there is no need to rush to reserve a spot. There is always plenty of seating and lounging available throughout the entire resort. That is a big plus to me! If you are looking for activities you can walk to their sister property next door, which is a nice resort for families. It has all the water toys and activities that you will find at any beach resort. The food is very good and plenty of it. We were there over New Year's and the staff went out of their way with a beautiful buffet, lights, fireworks, band, plenty of drinks, etc. It was a wonderful way to start the New Year. Loved it!! By the way, the resort is not located on the main island so you do have to take a ferry over but it is only a 45 minute ride and the ferry goes several times a day. You will not be disappointed if you decide to stay here. It is a lovely property.

Room Tip: I would choose one of the bungalows. They are right on the beach, spacious and private.

My husband and I stayed here for our delayed honeymoon for a week over New Years. It was simply the most relaxing week of our lives! The resort is beautiful, so peaceful and relaxing. It was very spacious, the lounges by the pool, the tables, the rooms etc were all spaced apart so you never felt like you were sitting on top of other guests. The staff are just wonderful people. The three main waitresses that served us (Akosita, Taraiivini and Ana) were so welcoming and friendly at every meal. All the staff were wonderful and the farewell song was very touching.
A few reviews make comment that the food was 'just OK'. Where do these people usually eat?!! The food was outstanding! Easily as good as any nice restaurant in Sydney. We had the meal plan and definitely got value out of it. Table service for all meals and we never got bored of the menu.
It was such an amazing holiday. Several times throughout the week we commented on how anywhere else we went just wouldn't live up to Lomani. Will definitely return!

Room Tip: We had a beachfront bure. Definitely worth the extra money!

My fiancé and I spent 8 beautiful days at Lomani in December 2014. We could not have imagined a better place to relax and unwind. From arrival to departure, we felt pampered by the wonderful staff and beautiful surroundings. Each day involved delicious freshly made meals at the romantic setting of the resort's Flame Tree Restaurant (make sure you book a beachside table), tropical drinks by the large pool, lazy hours spent reading in the hammock or the lounges along the beach, getting massages by the sea and having long swims in the crystal clear beach just 50m from our room. We couldn't believe how stunning the beach was and so peaceful - never any waves, and you could always find tropical fish with the help of a snorkel, paddle board or kayak. We really enjoyed the kava ceremony and local dance show which the resort hosted mid-week and the complimentary bicycles which we used to explore the island (not that we had any reason to leave Lomani). The genuine hospitality and kind nature of all the staff was a definite highlight of staying at this resort they were always smiling and greeting us by name.
Really only (minor) negatives were the bed (stiff mattress, not a soft doona cover), mosquitoes (but the resort provides insect spray in your room) and the hard-drive movie collection in the room which we used a few afternoons when it was raining (most movies didn't work and were pirated copies).
We certainly hope to return to Lomani in the near future and would highly recommend the resort over any other romantic accommodation choices in Fiji. Vinaka to all the wonderful staff for giving us such special memories to last a lifetime.

Lomani was the best resort I have ever been too. The resort is a nice small resort, no kids allowed, the staff makes you feel like family, you get to know all of the other guests there, and they have activities that include staff and guests. We had the honor of being there to celebrate their indepence day, and they created all of these fun activities for the guests. We got to dress up one of the staff like a woman, and they taught us how to "correctly" break a coconut. It was a blast, and I will def be back there again soon!!

Room Tip: They are all excellent. Don't spend the extra $200.00 for a beach bure. BEach front room is just as good!!

We have just arrived home after spending 8 of the most relaxing, pampered days of my life. This was our first trip to Fiji and had heard it was a pretty place and the Fijian people were pretty friendly but I never expected to experience what I did during our time at Lomani. From the moment we were picked up at the jetty the staff made us feel like were royalty coming to stay for a visit. On arrival at Lomani where the staff greet you with the loveliest sound of a welcome song you are made to feel like part of the family and are looked after in a way I have never experienced. Very personal and friendly but never overbearing or intrusive. The food, the activities, the surroundings all need to be experienced for yourself but aside from all of this its really the staff at Lomani that make this resort stand out and the reason we are hoping to return later this year. Vinaka
