We attended a wedding at Gorhams Bluff. It was gorgeous. We stayed in the lodge and we were right in the middle of everything. The rooms were a wonderful size and the view was unbelievable . The food was out of this world. The chef was so easy to work with and did a fantastic job. We are coming back for a family reunion at Thanksgiving. It is a great place to visit. Our son was married at this picturesque location last weekend. It was the perfect location for enjoying family, friends, and celebrating the wedding event. The ceremony took place on the bluff overlooking the Tennessee river and it was absolutely beautiful! The chef prepared delicious dinners, brunches, and the reception cuisine was yummy too! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an extraordinary location.

We just had our 5th child's wedding at Gorham's Bluff and it was a great experience. The staff was fantastic and was so responsive to all of our needs. The view is incredible and a very special place to have a wedding or an event. The chef and person we dealt with was Keith Isadore and I can't say enough great things about him. The food was as good as any I have ever had. Many things Keith fixed were straight out of his garden. The whole weekend was everything I had hoped it would be and I look forward to going back to visit this delightful place. Tommy did an awesome job, too!!

We went for a long weekend to Gorham's Bluff because we were given a gift certificate. Before going one should look into the hidden costs associated with your stay. The catch is that there are no restaurants around the area so you are stuck having to purchase a meal plan (which is over-priced), and they add on a rather large resort /service fee.
The hotel sits on a failed housing development which planned for over 300 homes but only has around thirty and a lot of them seem empty. The development gives a rather bad vibe to the place, even though there are some very nice views of the valley. They do advertise a hiking trail, but when we got there they recommended that we do not use it since it it rather treacherous/unused.
The food is not great, its just average, plus we had the same dinner on two of the three nights we were there. The pork chop was very hard, but the chocolate cake and the muffins were really good. The service for dinner and breakfast is very slow, they hire teenagers from the local town who really are just doing the best they can. You do not have access to a microwave or your own fridge.

The room itself was nice, but it seemed that it hadn't been used in a while since there was a lot of dust, and a dead bug on the floor. They are also stingy about the toiletries and it appears they reuse the bottles. They do have an extensive collection of old magazines. The staff was really unhelpful in providing recommendations of things to do around the area, even though there are some really nice parks and caves with in an hour drive.

I would never go here again, even if I got another gift card for it
This part of the country is very beautiful, I would definitely recommend visiting, but just find another place to stay. I would try the quaint little town of Mentone

We celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary by staying at the Blue Springs Cottage at Gorhams Bluff. We had a wonderful dinner and breakfast at the lodge while we were there, I would highly recommend having dinner or breakfast at the lodge if you stay in one of the cottages. We live in one of the tornado damaged areas and just needed to get away of all the damage, and this was the perfect choice to just get away from it all. The only thing I did not like was the price for the area. Dinner with all taxes was over $120.00
