Description: In 1984, Louisiana Lagniappe was opened and established inside Sandpiper Cove condominiums in what was at one time the Sandpiper Cove Yacht Club. A loyal following was quickly established due, in no small part, to the quality of the food and the attention to detail of the service. In 1998 The Southern Restaurant Group took ownership of the restaurant with a commitment to maintain the same level of food quality and service. Since then, Louisiana Lagniappe has consistently served only the freshest seafood and steaks. Now open year round, Louisiana Lagniappe is the spot for a memorable dining experience on all levels. In 1999, a second Louisiana Lagniappe was opened in the San Roc Cay Shopping and Marina Complex in Orange Beach, Alabama. Offering the same fine Louisiana seafood with a Creole flair, the attire is casual, yet an upscale waterfront dining experience is provided for the entire family.

A group of 7 of us went to the restaurant last Sunday. Most of us ordered the $49 special, although a few of upgraded for $5 additional. Our entrees included steak, chicken, lobster and shrimp etouffee, and various grouper dishes. All were excellent. And the portions were plentiful. The service was absolutely superb. We will be back. It was an outstanding dinner.

Very good food. I was with several people, everyone was pleased with their food. They have a special 2 entrees with a bottle of wine for $49. If there are 2 people, it is better to order the special because the entrees are cheaper on the special, even if you don't drink the wine. If you don't finish the wine, you can take it home. Very good service.

I was expecting very little after reading reviews and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent; food very good; atmosphere pleasant and friendly. It was a Thursday at Christmas time. There were very few patrons. My husband and I both had Grouper Louisianne, grouper with herbed butter and crabmeat. Yummy! Came with a nice garden salad. They offered baked potato, twice baked potatoes with cheese and Cajun spice, or grilled green beans. Hubby got the twice bake... he loved it. I'm a low carb person, so I got the green beans... excellent.

Went for dinner with 3 other friends. When arrived, greeter was almost sighing, like, oh no customers. When seated, waiter was in a rush to take our orders and not giving us time to go over the menu. Brought cold bread hush puppies and when asked for hot ones, was miffed. Salad was limp, vegetables on side were cold and entire meal was rushed. They seemed to be in a rush to close up and we were not that late in the evening. When one of us asked for an extra sauce, we were told it was already put away, with a disgusted look at us. Needless to say, they need to get their act together.

Ate there on a Thursday in November.
They handled a group of ten with no trouble.
Great fresh seafood.
Good service.
They have a two can dine for 49 special.
You get two entrees, sides and a bottle of wine for 49 dollars.
You have to ask for it though, they do not advertise it.
They were offering it all night when we went.
May cut off at 6 pm in the summer though.
Good deal.
