The reasonable price and comfortable room was fine with us--it's seldom you can find a fairly good hotel in a downtown district, and we were pleased with this one. Unfortunately the hot breakfast was never delivered, so this was a minus, but everything else was fine...quiet, convenient, comfortable. Worth checking out unless you're looking for something more luxorious

Room tip: no specific recommendation, I think all guests were being housed on the first floor

I have two different experiences at the same place, first arrived late Saturday and was given a room on a shady corridor, with a bad odor. Next day was moved to a nicer updated room. So I guess a lot depends on what room you get. Breakfast is basic, it has "hot" items but is "eggs" and sausage from a bag. The breakfast person is quite distracted, I had to remind her to put the milk out for cereal. On the positive side, location is good, and price is good for the area. Parking is free.

Room tip: Ask for a room with No carpet

This seems to be an older facility, but is priced accordingly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent to walk to the bars and restaurants on and around Dauphin Street. Several museums are also within walking distance. We encountered no safety concerns. Parking is included. So if you do not mind the wear that shows in the rooms, this is a convenient and relatively inexpensive way to stay in Mobile. Perhaps the biggest complaint would be the consistency of the internet.

We were helped by Liz B. to establish a group of rooms the night before our cruise departure. She was so easy to work with. So were the Desk associates! I appreciated the ease in which everything happened. They have a package where you can stay the night and get a shuttle to and from the port if you are cruising. The price was amazing and the shuttle service was super easy... coming and going from the port frequently. The cost of parking at the port is 90$ so staying the night gave us all energy to face the day.

The hotel was nice enough for the price we paid. We didn't have issues with noise, even though the hotel was packed that night. The TV in room 214 didn't get good reception, but then we weren't there for the TV. We stayed in room 115 after the cruise. The only complaint there was the bathroom could have used a little more attention. We did however, get to the hotel early and they were ale to get us the room quicker then normal...

There are things to go do and see that are in walking distance from the hotel. We went to the Mobile Circus Museum and it was awesome! VERY informative. BUT, the rooms lack a small brochure with local information. You sort of have to go out and explore on your own. The front desk people are helpful though and were able to answer whatever questions we had. They knew a place we could buy fresh gulf seafood to take home (Mud Bugs it was called). And while I am at it, if you like oysters and seafood, there are two GREAT places nearby with great parking. Wentzells on Dauphin St and Felix's on the causeway! BOTH are amazing!!

Room tip: An older hotel with local charm. People have different needs. Ask the helpful staff to give you a room that fits your definition of "good".

We were pleasantly surprised with this motel in downtown Mobile. We only stayed for one night because we were seeing a concert at the Sanger Theater downtown. We liked the free parking and free breakfast. It is pet friendly which is also a bonus. They have replaced the carpet with a laminate flooring which made it cleaner. The room was clean. It had a strong smell of cleaning supplies but after airing out the room for a little bit, it was fine. The beds are full size instead of queen but were quite comfortable. We were able to walk to downtown restaurants and the gallery hop. It is next door to Holiday Inn which has a nice skyview lounge. Overall it is very nice for the money and is fine for a quick trip to Mobile.
