This museum is detailed as anything and extremely well curated. There isn't actually that much to see, artifact wise but what's there follows a really logical progression and gives you a real insight into the customs and history of the state of Malacca

ThecTown Hall is a loveky building, resplendent in the same red as RedcSquareca fewcdteps below it. It is such a unique edifice with such character. But, as I have also said almost word for word in my review of Christchurch, what doesn't help is the ridiculous noise made by the rickshaw taxis blaring heavy metal, rap and techno at top volume. It is stupidity of the highest order that the town authorities allow this to continue. They have to nake a living yes, but just move them the short distance onto Jonkers Street.

One of the must-see if you are first time in Malacca. Rich history - Portuguese and Dutch rule. Museum is average. The museum on the ship nearby is more interesting. Take the 'colourful trishaw' ride (fee applies) if you want to rest your feet.

The museum is housed in a historical building, exhibits were fine. Unfortunately, the pop music blaring from the stupid rickshaws outside could be heard in the museum, spoiling the atmosphere. Also, government propaganda songs were being played on the loudspeakers inside the museum. Turn it off. I have never in my life heard music like that played inside a history museum. What an embarrassment.
