I went to Melaka in a school trip, staying in Cyclamen Cottage for 5 nights, and it was an amazing experience because we occupied the whole cottage hence it was very casual and chill. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in a big group because it makes it gives you more freedom and you don't have to dress formal all the time because you might be the only ones in the cottage at that time. The staff is very hospitable and helping, making is a very comfortable experience.

Room advice: Take a room on the ground floor for easy accessibility to entrance and kitchen and not wanting to climb up and down every time (there is no lift). If you want peace, choose a room on the top floor. Don't choose 'Asam' as that's the noisiest.

Room Tip: First floor is quieter but ground floor has better Wi-Fi

Came here for a school trip and it was a lovely experience. Had a very spacious room to share with only one other person, facilities were great and convenient, and had great sleeping quality. Overall, had a very pleasant stay with all my school mates in this historical location.

This is a delightful, small inn in a former army barracks that has been restored. The barracks were from one of the historic periods of Malacan history, and everything is authentic. The owners were wonderfully accommodating. All in all, a very nice visit!

A classic Peranakan style hotel amidst a quiet neighbourhood with a beautiful garden. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with old quality furniture. In-house cafe brings you back to old Colonial days with typical British Breakfast served with Nyonya delicacies. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and classic Straits Chinese or Peranakan cultural artefacts. This historical heritage hotel is also reasonably priced and right across the road is a gourmet boutique restaurant that provide healthful servings of unique home-cooked specialties.

Room Tip: Lower floor a must if you have a heavy luggage

Great place to stop& shy away from the Melaka's blazing sun, short drive from KL. Old mansion refurbished w sm modern fittings in the bathroom and kitchen. Lovely garden grounds, just watch out for the mozzies! Entire place os clean, spotless and functioning . Loved the way everything is so well maintained and looked after. Met visitors from different walks of life, people in the place made us feel at home and welcomed. We wanted to give the young ones a flash into our lives growing up At grandpas place and it was achieved. Nostalgic trip and very affordable rates with daily english breakfast. Speciality dishes and delicacies can be ordered and serves hot to you. We will be visiting again.
