Stayed here for 3 nights. Room and bathroom basic but standard for this type of accommodation and price. Fan and AC worked well and we did get hot water most of the time. The wifi in reception was intermittent.

Seagull provides cheap, good accommodation, located steps away from Palolem beach. The rooms are spacious, clean and provide basic necessities. A ton of restaurants are available around the guest house, all with great food. The host Rahul can get you good deals/discounts for few of the nearby restaurants.

We stayed in Seagull for three nights and our experience was awesome. We had thought of getting a beach hut initially but are really glad we din't this time. It was pretty hot all the days and the AC room we had taken for just 900 a night was a big respite. Apart from the first floor AC rooms even the garden rooms are also cool and a big relief if you are coming in summers.
Rahul was very understanding and helping we had a great comfortable stay.

We checked in here when we first arrived as its on the main road just off the beach. Clean room, hot water and quiet. £8 a night for a double room and a great place to stay when you first arrive even for a night or two whilst looking at the shacks on the beach.

It appears this guesthouse has not been reviewed recently so this is somewhat of an update. We understand from talking with the owner during our stay that the management was contracted out for a time and that did not work out. Too many complaints were received so the owner has taken back manageing the day to day operations of the guesthouse and is onsite most of the time. We found him to be very pleasant and fair. Also, the guesthouse seems to be well staffed.
There are many options for accomadations in Palolem Beach and we looked at several including the huts on the beach. All we checked were priced higher and / or were not as nice.
We found the Seagull to be clean and comfortable, plus the location is perfect if you do not have to be right on the beach. The guesthouse is located directly behind a restaurant by the same name on the main road just a 2 minute walk to the beach. Travel agents for train, plane or bus tickets are just across the street as are some good restaurant choices and food shopping. During our stay the nights were very quiet. We stayed in a non A/C room but for a little more they do have A/C rooms available. We noticed the guesthouse being used by backpackers, couples like us and families with small children too. The rooms can be described as basic or budget level and were a good value. Especially considering the location. Seems to be a high percentage of returning guests and we will likely be among them.

Room Tip: WiFi was free but only available in reception area. Some rooms are available without hot water for a little less. Smaller Single rooms available for less too.
