when you come in a strangeland you dont know whom to trust but if your host makes you fel home then it is a true vacation.I would specificaly like to mention to all people who love things natural and simple it is the best place you can get.
Also i would especially like to mention that that we lost good amount of money at the place and it was our host who found out. That day i realized we are with our own people.
You have these beautiful trees around you and fresh smell of beach.
It was a perfect holiday and its a must return.
P.S:awsum restaturants near by..try diffrent cuisines everyday.

Travelling south India I/we found ourselves coming back here three times. A lovely little place run by a lovely family, that help you out with whatever your needs are. AND they have a kitchen for guests to use if u miss cooking something for yourself. I loved it(and still do). Highly recommended. I've travelled for 5years so take my word:)

I stayed in Anjuna Palms for 2011 New year's week. It was amazing, the hostel is 5 minutes walking from the beach, is very cheap and clean, and is run by a family, they are very nice and really understand western people's needs, which is very difficult to find in India. They would give you advice and directions, and also they'd book your train/bus/flights with no tricks, no scams.
The rooms are CLEAN! And very comfortable for indian standards.
Also it's only 5 minutes taxi or bike to all the night life, parties and bars. I was so happy that I went back, and stayed there for one month in February, it was very busy, I got to know a lot of people. I would definitely recommend it, and would come back!
I'd been away from home for so long, and they really made me feel like home, and very safe as a girl travelling alone.
I'd like to add, it's next to a big supermarket, and each room or dorm has a terrace with a table, lights and chair where you can eat, in the middle of a beautiful garden! Oh, and they have western toilets :) and hot shower, just ask how to turn the hot water on.

Room Tip: Upstairs five bed dorm is the best one

I loved this guesthouse, which is owned and run by a very friendly and helpful family. It has several simple yet clean rooms, many with their own porches, where guests can sit in the lovely courtyard garden. There is a computer room where you can use the internet, or wi-fi for guests with their own laptops (I think it was about Rs 40 a day). The location is also perfect - right in between the supermarket (where you can buy everything you need, including imported foods from Europe and America) and a 24-restaurant called Munches. Nearby there are also shops, restaurants, internet cafes (where you can also make international calls or pick up money transfers), and travel agencies. Further away there are ATMs and even a Domino's Pizza. Anjuna Beach itself, and the famous Wednesday flea market, are only 5-10 mins walk away.

Note that toilet paper is not provided, but the family will sell it to you for the same price as in the shops.

My only complaints are that (1) the mattresses on the beds were very hard and thin and consequently quite uncomfortable, and (2) that there was an ant and wasp problem in the garden, right next to our room, but this might have been sorted out by now.
